What Door Size Should I Go With? Common Dimensions.

Sauna doors typically are smaller than standard house doors.  This is because there’s no need for standard door – you only lose more heat as you open and close the door.

That said, the majority of sauna doors are 24″ wide and 72″ or 80″ tall.  Sometimes a 30″ wide sauna door is preferred and then 36″ wide for commercial rooms or other ADA compliant saunas, but 24″ wide is standard.

Common Questions

Here are some of the most common questions people ask.

We discuss this further in our Sauna Door Sizing article, however, most Sauna doors are either 24″, 30″ or 36″ wide and 72″ or 80″ tall.

Yes, our sauna doors come pre-hung in a Hemlock jamb.  Stock jamb depths available or you can specify a custom jamb depth.

For the majority of DIY sauna builders, it’s actually more labor intensive than the cost to buy a new, pre-hung sauna door. There are other factors, like building your door jamb perfectly square, or acquiring the glass for the front of your door.

The two biggest advantages the sauna doors we build offer are:

  1. They come pre-hung. You simply take delivery of the door and install it. One customer who was nervous about this process told us afterwards that it was “far easier than I thought”.
  2. The latching mechanism is one of the best there are. Many contractors order their sauna doors through us simply because they latch and perform better than any other door in the market.

Our doors vary in cost, give us a call for a quote on the exact size door you need.
