Each Douglas Fir Frame Sauna Door comes with a tempered clear glass pane down the center. This is great for allowing sunlight into the sauna room.

Looking for a more solid, robust ADA sauna door? The ADA Douglas Fir Frame Sauna Door is for you.
Its available with self-closing hinges (popular in commercial saunas) or ball-catch latch. The ball-catch latch is standard. The door has a 16″ rail on the bottom.

The other route is to choose a fully custom glass front, or 2/3 glass front. While we typically work with a local glass provider on our fully custom built saunas with glass fronts, we do offer them.

We carry stock sauna doors at all times (call 612.505.9700 to make sure your door & size are available) with a standard jamb depths. Otherwise your door can be made with a custom jamb depth (most DIYers choose a standard door and then build a jamb extension).

Our ADA compliant doors meet or exceed all of the guidelines for ADA compliance in saunas. The minimum opening is 32″ for doors, our ADA compliant doors are 36″ wide.

Suggested rough opening for all glass sauna doors: 2″ taller and 3-1/2″ wider than the door.
Sauna doors typically are smaller than standard house doors. This is because there’s no need for standard door – you only lose more heat as you open and close the door.
That said, the majority of sauna doors are 24″ wide and 72″ or 80″ tall. Sometimes a 30″ wide sauna door is preferred and then 36″ wide for commercial rooms or other ADA compliant saunas, but 24″ wide is standard.
