At our showroom, we had an unused office space just off to the side of the main floor. We figured it would be a great place to install a custom built sauna and shower room for everybody to enjoy. This was a fun project, in a very small space.
One of the biggest challenges with this space was that we wanted our heater to be centered in the room. In doing this, we wouldn’t have ample space for two rows of sauna benches on either side. Being that we’re all a bunch of Finlanders who refuse to sit on the bottom bench, we opted to build a floating floor. This allows us to create enough height on our top bench so that we are still maximizing the effectiveness of the sauna, while making the most of the space we had.
