Wall-mounted electric sauna heaters built in Finland with industrial-grade components, built-in controls, and a two-year warranty.
The Finsauna HomeHeat Series brings authentic Finnish sauna engineering to your home with a straightforward approach. These wall-mounted heaters are built in Finland – where sauna orinated – and they’re designed around a simple principle: give you reliable, high-quality heat without unnecessary complications.
What sets the HomeHeat apart is the built-in control panel. Everything you need is right there on the heater. Turn the dial to set your temperature and time, and you’re done. The heater holds 45 pounds of sauna stones (included with every unit), which means you get the kind of rich, moisture-filled löyly that makes a sauna session feel right.
Four models cover sauna rooms from 85 to 425 cubic feet, so whether you’re building a compact home sauna or something more spacious, there’s a HomeHeat that fits.
The HomeHeat has simple dial controls right on the unit – temperature, time, and start delay all in one place, eliminating the need for a separate external panel. Set the delay up to 8 hours in advance, and this design simplifies your installation by reducing extra wiring.
The heating elements are the same quality you’d find in commercial applications – stainless steel components that hold up to constant heating and cooling cycles, year after year. The polished stainless steel exterior handles humidity without corroding and gives you a clean, professional look that ages well.
Finsauna’s AirFlow Technology moves air through the heater more effectively, cutting down your warm-up time so you get to sauna temperature faster.
The HomeHeat uses triple-wall construction – three layers between the heating elements and the outer surface – keeping the exterior cooler than other heaters. Warning: Do not touch the heater while it is turned on.
UL listing means the heater has been through independent safety testing and meets strict electrical and fire safety standards.
The FinSauna HomeHeat comes with a 2-year warranty in residential saunas from the manufacturer and our local Minnesota support.

The HomeHeat Series includes four models, each sized for different sauna room capacities. Here’s the breakdown:
Every HomeHeat heater uses industrial-grade stainless steel heating elements. The housing is stainless steel inside and out.
The triple-wall construction provides an air gap between layers, which insulates the exterior surface. You can still get burned if you touch it when it’s hot (it’s a sauna heater, after all), but the surface stays cooler than single-wall designs.
Each HomeHeat comes complete with:
You’ll need to supply:
Daily maintenance is minimal:
Long-term care (every 6-12 months):
The stones will eventually break down from heat cycling. This is normal. When stones get small or powdery, replace them. This maintenance is why the warranty requires proper stone care – damaged stones can affect heater performance and element lifespan.
Beyond the UL listing and triple-wall construction:
Sizing a sauna heater comes down to cubic footage. Measure your sauna’s interior: length × width × height. That gives you cubic feet. Match that number to the capacity range above, and you’ve got your model.
One thing to know: if your sauna has a lot of glass, tile, or stone surfaces, you’ll want to size up. These materials absorb heat, so you need extra power to compensate. If you’re building with cedar and keeping glass to a minimum, you can work within the standard capacity ranges.

The electrical work requires a licensed electrician, both for code compliance and warranty validity. The mounting and stone placement, you could handle yourself if you’re comfortable with that. But the reality is most people hire an electrician for the whole installation – it’s just simpler.
If you’re building a DIY sauna, having an electrician do the heater installation is the one place where professional help makes sense. The rest of the sauna you can tackle yourself, but the electrical needs to be done right.
ProHeat series uses Wi-Fi digital controls instead of built-in dials. If you want to control your sauna from a phone app or prefer a digital display with touchscreen, that’s the ProHeat. Same quality heaters, different control system.
HomeHeat is for people who want straightforward operation and don’t need remote control features. The built-in dials are simple to use.
It comes down to whether you value the convenience of app control enough to pay the price difference.
While it is possible for the Homeheat heater to perform in cold Minnesota winters—we recommend going with a Wi-Fi controlled heater as we’ve seen they perform better on the really cold days.
