About The Finsauna Proheat Heater

The Finsauna ProHeat Series sits in that sweet spot between budget heaters that burn out after a years and premium models that cost twice as much. Built in Finland with stainless steel construction and WiFi control included in the package, these heaters deliver solid performance without the premium price tag.

The series includes six models ranging from the compact 3kW PH300 to the powerful 8kW PH800, with both single-phase and three-phase options to fit saunas from 84 to 425 cubic feet.

What makes ProHeat a smart choice is the combination of 45 pounds of rock capacity for good steam, WiFi control that’s actually useful, and build quality that’ll last years without nickel-and-diming you on replacements.

Key Benefits

The ProHeat delivers good performance at a reasonable price point—here’s what you’re actually getting:

Triple-Wall Stainless Steel Construction

The exterior stays cooler to the touch than single-wall heaters (don’t touch the heater while on), and the polished stainless steel won’t rust out even with regular water splashing on the rocks.

45 Pounds of Rock Capacity

Enough rock mass to hold heat and create proper steam when you pour water, which is what actually makes a sauna session satisfying.

Serviceable Heating Elements

When elements eventually wear out after years of use, you can replace them individually instead of buying a whole new heater.

Faster Heat-Up Times

The airflow design gets your sauna to temperature quicker than traditional heaters, so you spend less time waiting and more time using it.

UL Listed Safety Features

Independent testing and certification, plus automatic shut-off and overheat protection that monitors temperature at multiple points.

WiFi Control Included

Start your sauna remotely so it’s ready when you get home, adjust settings from your phone, or program a weekly schedule—the SaunaLink control system comes standard with every ProHeat package.

Control System Details

The ProHeat comes with FinSauna’s SaunaLink control system—a water-resistant touchscreen that manages temperature, timer, lighting, and ventilation from one panel. The control can mount inside your sauna room or up to 80 feet away on an adjacent wall, depending on your preference. The touchscreen is intuitive and simple to use.

The WiFi connectivity is the feature that actually changes how you use your sauna. Connect to your home WiFi network and use the mobile app to start your sauna remotely, check current temperature, or adjust settings from anywhere.

Start it before you leave the office and it’s ready when you walk through the door. You can also add an optional 7-day programmable timer to set weekly schedules—have your sauna automatically ready every evening at 6 PM without thinking about it. The WiFi is optional; if you don’t want your sauna connected to the internet, the control works perfectly fine as a standard touchscreen panel.

Temperature range is 120°F to 194°F in 1-degree increments, with a 12-hour timer and automatic shutoff for safety. The control includes user lockout protection if you have teenagers or rent your property. It’s ETL listed for safety and includes dual overheat protection systems. If you have chromatic lighting or aromatic fans in your sauna, the SaunaLink can control those as well. For more advanced setups, it can integrate with home automation systems.

Common Questions

Here are some of the most common questions people ask.

Professional installation by a licensed electrician is required to maintain warranty and UL compliance. The 240V electrical work must meet code, and the heater must be installed per manufacturer specifications. Your electrician will need 2-3 hours for a straightforward installation. Don’t skip hiring a professional—insurance and safety issues aside, improper installation kills heater life.

It operates on 208V or 240V depending on your model.

Standard residential 240V single-phase power works for most ProHeat models. The three-phase models (PH600-3 and PH800-3) are designed for commercial installations that already have three-phase service. If you’re installing in your home, you want the single-phase model. Residential properties almost always have single-phase.

The ProHeat can reach 194°F, though most people run their saunas between 160-180°F. Traditional Finnish protocol is 176-185°F with periods of cooling off between rounds. If you’re new to sauna, start at 160°F and work your way up. The right temperature is the one where you feel relaxed and comfortable. Experiment to find your sweet spot.

The residential heaters come with a two year warranty and the commercial heaters come with a one year warranty.
